Ray C. Bilava, 62, Prospect St. died Monday at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County from Cancer.

He was born Dec 30, 1920 in Schuyler and lived most of his life in Fremont. He was employed by Magnus Metal.

He attended the Baptist-Presbyterian Church in Valley and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union, He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and spent one year as a P.O.W.. His firs wife, Carrie Preceded him in death. He married June 5, 1975 to June Wollen in Valley, She survives.

Other survivors include: one son, Gary of Fremont: a stepdaughter Mrs Mark ( Sandy) Coates of Valley: a stepson Jeff Wollen of Omaha; six grandchildren: two brothers, Gilbert of Fremont and Arhur of Costa Mesa California. and three half-sisters, Mrs Lillyan Zrust of Clarkson, Mrs Rose Rosendahl of Columbus and Mrs Helen Dale of North Bend.

Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday at the Bader-Rozanek Colonial Funeral Home in Fremont with the Rev Peter Vanderveen officiating, visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 am to 9 pm Wednesday. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Memorials may be addressed to the Baptist-Presbyterian Church or to the Cancer fund.
