She was born September 3, 1930 in Grantsville, MD and was a daughter of the late Nellie Mae (Ravenscroft) Alt and step father, the late Scott R. Alt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. Parsons on May 4, 1997.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a housekeeper for the late Myrtle Park and was employed by Windsor Knit Sewing Factory in Petersburg, WV for several years. She was Pentecostal by Faith. .
Surviving are two daughters, Patty Moyers and husband, Donnie Moyers of Petersburg; Diana L. Parsons-Allen and husband, Hugh A. Allen of Cabins, WV; five grandchildren, Marcee Kesner,who was her loving nurse and caregiver and her husband, Tim Kesner; Butch Moyers and wife Rachel; Michael Moyers and wife, Gwen; Marisa Moyers and companion, Xavier; and Marenda McKay and husband, Benji; nine great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Caleb Kesner, Ethan and Hannah Moyers, Chase Michael and Lacey Moyers, Madison McKay, Hunter Largent Jr.,. and Nadia Swick; one sister, Linda Wilkins and husband Delmas of Manassas, VA; two sister-in-laws, Elizabeth Vance of Dorcas, WV and Suella Crites of Moorefield, WV and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service Tuesday 2 p.m. (March 11, 2014 at the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV with Rev. Stephen Landis officiating. Interment will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery.
There will be no services at the funeral home.
