Obituary
Unidentified Newsclipping - 1890
CADWELL.--Anson Cadwell was born in Keeney's Settlement, New York, Jan. 12, 1806, and died at Fabius, New York, May 5, 1890. He found Christ in 1820, and from that time was a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal church on the Fabius and Keeney's Settlement Charge. He, with his faithful wife Jerusha, who entered into rest Jan. 2, 1880, maintained a typical Methodist home, where the itinerant preacher was always welcome. Anson Cadwell was strong in faith and abundant in good works. His generosity was limited only by his means. As steward, trustee, and class-leader, he was faithful for over sixty years. In 1882 he married Miss Beulah Billings, who survives him. He was a subscriber to The Christian Advocate from the first number, and was a Zion's Herald subscriber when that paper lost its identity in The Christian Advocate. A wife and two adopted daughters are left. The funeral services were held in the Methodist Episcopal church at Fabius May 8, and were conducted by the Rev. Thomas Harroun, assisted by the Rev. William James Mills, Rev. William Wardell, and Rev. W. H. Robertson.
