On Nov. 25, 1943, she married her high school sweetheart, the late Norman Ernest Jette, in Sacred Heart Church, North Attleboro. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart School, North Attleboro and St. Jean the Baptiste Academy in Pawtucket.

In 1968, she was one of the first parishioners to receive the Marian Medal for her service to her parish and the Fall River Diocese.

She engaged in volunteer work for the community on the Bicentennial Committee for our nation.

Cecile worked at Madonna Manor for 25 years, was a Representative Town Meeting member for many years and an election worker. She was one of the first Girl Scout leaders of Sacred Heart Parish, a den mother in the Cub Scout pack, and the "nature lady" at Camp Shady Pines. She and her late husband were the owners of Paine Road Gardens.

She is survived by her five children: Celeste Van Martin of Sparks, NV; Connie Jette of Jacksonville, FL and Laurent, Regis and Charles F. Jette of North Attleboro. Cecile also leaves a brother, Louis Landry and his wife, Carol, of Washington, N.H., and was the sister of the late Daniel Leo Landry, George Emile Landry and Theresa Zilch. She also leaves her sisters- in-law Anita (Jette) Duphily and Catherine Landry of North Attleboro as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 10, from 2-6 p.m., in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove St., North Attleboro.
