Mrs. Alice Goppert

Services for Mrs. Alice Sara Goppert, 76, of the Chester-Newell Rd., who died Monday morning, will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the Chester Arner Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Charles Kampmeyer, pastor of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, will officiate, and burial will be in the Locust Hill Cemetery, Chester. Mrs. Goppert was born in Meigs County, Ohio, March 20, 1887, to the late Thomas Beaver and Emmiline Hess Beaver. A retired employee of the Homer Laughlin China Co., she worked as a brusher. She was a member of St. John's church and a past member of IBOP Local 94. Her husband, William Goppert, died in 1954. She is survived by three sons, William Goppert and Victor Goppert, both of Chester, and Eugene Goppert of Aliquippa; a daughter, Mrs. Perry (Margaret) Wright of Chester; a sister, Mrs. John (Mary) Lynch, and a brother, Francis Beaver, both of East Liverpool, and eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the chapel this afternoon and tonight and Wednesday afternoon and evening.
