Whittemore 'Golden' Mass Honors Sister Mary Foley WHITTEMORE - Sister Mary Dorothea Foley, OSM, (Order of the Servants of Mary), celebrated her golden anniversary Aug. 17 in Whittemore. She is a member of the Servants of Mary whose mother house is in Omaha, Nebr, The anniversary commemoration began with a concelebrated mass in St, Michael's Church at 11 a,m. The mass was said by Father John Foley of Boca Raton, Fla, and Father Merle Kollasch of Granville, Father Francis Staber and Father Charles Ernst were present in the sanctuary, Serving as lector was Dr. James Foley of Portland, Ore, Mrs. Clem Kollasch was the organist for the congregational singing. At the offertory of the mass, Sister Dorothea renewed her vows. She was accompanied to the altar by Sister Mary Eileen, C,S,J., of Inglewood, Calif, and Sister Mary Cecilia Foley of Omaha, Nebr, A reception and dinner followed at the Whittemore Golf Club for relatives and friends of the celebrant. Sister Mary Dorothea is a sister of Dan and Frank Foley of Whittemore.
In her later years she retired to the O.S.M. mother house in Omaha, Nebraska, where she passed away.
