Geraldine Johnson was born Oct. 25, 1925 to Arthur and Meda (Wamsley) Crawford at Peck. She attended schools in Winchester and Craigmont.

On Dec. 27, 1941, she married Elmer D. Johnson at Craigmont and they farmed in the Craigmont area until 1953, when they moved to Wynona, near Kamiah.

After her husband died in 1957, she supported her family by working as a teller in a bank and then becoming a Lewis County deputy sheriff. The family moved to NezPerce.

After her children were grown, she went to Sonoma County, California and became a Psychiatric Technician at the State Hospital. She worked there for twenty years before retiring. She was living in Canby, OR when she passed away.

Geraldine enjoyed working on genealogy and did many different crafts. She also enjoyed gardening.
