Jesup, Ga. - Larry Herman Fennel, 57, of Jesup, Ga. died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at his residence after a short illness.
The Lutz, Fla. native had lived in Wayne County most of his life and was a member of Flint Branch Baptist Church. He was a master carpenter and owned Odum Cabinet and Woodworking for many years. Shrimping, fishing and horseback riding were his favorite pastimes.
He was predeceased by his wife, Brinda Powell Fennel; his parents, Carlton "Joe" and Margaret Woodcock Fennel.
Survivors are a daughter, Kristy Fennel of Brunswick, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Crystal Fennel of Brunswick, Ga.; a step-son, Christopher Brannen and his fiancé, Linh Wallace of Jesup, Ga.; 7 grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Jesse Stepp of Brunswick, Ga.; a brother and sister-in-law, Lonnie and Paula Fennel of Mobile, Ala.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Flint Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Hickox and Brother Albert Dyal officiating. Interment will be in the Westside Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his family and friends.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 A.M. prior to services at the church.
