Clarence Frederic Moos, 81, Phoenix, Ariz., died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Phoenix Baptist Hospital.

Mr. Moos was born July 9, 1920, in Gackle, N.D., the son of John and Magdalina (Kline) Moos. He moved to rural Medina, N.D., and attended country school and helped his parents on the farm.

He married Emma Pauline Moos Dec. 2, 1942. They farmed in rural Medina. They moved to Phoenix, where they owned and operated the Alta Vista Laundromat and Sun Air Refrigeration. He was a realtor for Century 21 for five years. He retired and did painting in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Gene (Barbara), Jamestown, and Allen (Carrie), Overgaard, Ariz.; four sisters, Luella (Donald) Grant, Issaquah, Wash., Betty Sullivan, Billlings, Mont., Emilie Hout, Miles City, Mont., and Marilyn (Clarence) Geise, Mesa, Ariz.; three grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, a great-grandchild and a great step-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dale; and three sisters, Sophie, Anna and Emma.

Private family services: Held Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002 in Phoenix, with the Rev. John Nicolai officiating.
