HAUTHER, ALMA P. "SHORTY"
age 86 of Knoxville, passed away Monday, December 03, 2007 at Fort Sanders Regional. She was a member of Ramsey Heights Baptist Church and the Bethany Sunday School Class. Mrs. Hauther retired from South Central Bell after 37 years service, a member of Communication Workers of America and Telephone Pioneers. She was a kind and generous person with many life long friends and always quick to share a joke. Preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Carrie Price; husband Rudolph W. Hauther, Jr.; 9 brothers and sisters; and son-in-law William H. Ross. Survivors include 3 children, Rhonda K. Ross, Fhonda C. Hauther, and Rudolph W. Hauther, III and wife Minthy; 6 grandchildren, Chris (Jamie) Noe, Kelly (Dale) Maples, Rusty Hauther all of Knoxville, David (Michelle) Ross and Kendra (Dion) Grutzius of Indiana, and Chadwick Byron Hauther of Atlanta; 5 great-grandchildren, Dalton, Luke, McKenzi, Chance, and Audrey. Serving as pallbearers will be: Kenny, Chad, Richard and Rusty Hauther, David Ross, and Ricky Smith. The family would like to give a special Thanks to the Nurses at Fort Sanders Regional. The Hauther family will receive friends Wednesday, December 5, 2007 from 6-8 pm in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, Funeral Services will follow at 8 pm with Pastor Barney Evans and Pastor Jeremy Ruth officiating. Family and friends will meet Thursday at 9:45 am in the Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 10 am interment.
