Theda L. Tucker, 82, Rice Lake, Wis., formerly of Barron, Wis., died Saturday, April 22, 2000, at the Rice Lake Convalescent Center.
She was born May 1, 1917, at LaCrosse, moving to Rice Lake as a child. She married Cecil Hughes at Rice Lake in 1932. She married Ray Campbell in 1941, he preceded her in death in 1947.
In 1950, she married Leo Akenson. They owned and operated East End Grocery Store, Barron, until they retired and moved to Rice Lake in 1971. He preceded her in death the following year. She married Harold Tucker in 1978. He preceded her in death in 1998.
She was a member of the Rice Lake Baptist Church, Rice Lake Senior Center, and Barron VFW Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Janet (Bob) Kellis of Adelanto, Calif.; sons, Elton (Mary) Hughes of Cloverdale, Ind., Ronn (Cindy) Campbell of Hibbing, Minn., and Rick (Patrice) Akenson of Barron; stepdaughters, Shirley Stephens of Chula Vista, Calif., and Janet Quinn of Rice Lake; a stepson, Harold Tucker of Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; 22
step-grandchildren; and many step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husbands; two grandsons; a stepson, Allen Campbell; and stepdaughters, Stella Campbell Reed, Barbara Hardy, and Mary Akenson.
Services were held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, from the Rice Lake Baptist Church, Rev. Steve Svendsen officiating. Interment at Orchard Beach Cemetery, Rice Lake.
