She gave birth to her 2nd son, Josephus C., Feb 10, 1863, which would have also been during the Civil War conflict. Susan vanishes from family records, and her two sons were raised by their grandparents, Zachariah & Nancy. Issac & Josephus surname was changed to "Leatherwood".
