DIED Grant co Herald 10 Jan 1878 (Grant County, Wisconsin). Died: In North Lancaster, january 1, 1878, Mrs. Hannah Fitzgerald, in the 69th year of her age. Sister Fitzgerald may well be called an old settler, having come to Grant county about fifty years ago; was a resident of the town of Lancaster forty three years. She with her husband experienced the quickening power of diving grace 28 years ago under the labor of Rev. Whitford of the M.E. Church and united with the first class formed at what is now known as the Dyer school house, since which time she has endured all the trials of life as seeing Him who is invisible and with a firm faith and love unchilled, has waited patiently the coming of the Master. Twenty three years ago by the death of her husband she was left with a family of eight children all of whom she has lived to see grown to manhood and womanhood. She now lies by the side of her husband waiting the day when the archangles's trumpet shall wake the sleeping nations. Then those closed eyes shall see the King in his beauty and that silent tongue shall break forth with the song of redemption. May we all so live that we can join in that song.
