Kerrville- Graveside services for Mr. Guy H. Eley, 87, of Kerrville, who died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, in a local care center, were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 3 p.m. at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville, with the Rev. Jack Rothenflue officiating,

Born in 1911 of pioneer parents, Mr. Eley became a Christian at an early age. He married his high school sweetheart, Helen Glasglow, who survives. Guy and Helen have three children and a few grandchildren.

Mr. Eley served in the church as a deacon, teacher, elder and trustee, as well as farmed, raised cattle and did police work.

He enjoyed life - loved God and his family. He had hoped some of his grandchildren would become full time workers for the Lord.

Guy was raised and spent most of his adult life in and around Altus, Jackson Co, OK. He farmed and worked as a deputy sheriff for a number of years in that county.
