Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Odelia Rinehart, age 80 of Vernon, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday March 9, 2014 at Vernon Baptist Church. Officiating the service will be Rev. Gerald Nelson. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Vernon under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.
Ethel Rinehart, beloved wife and surrogate mother to all, was born on December 5, 1933 in Vernon, Louisiana. She so loved her country life that she lived it in its entirety in Vernon where she died on March 4, 2014. She surrounded herself with things as beautiful as she was and had a love for all of God's creatures. Her passion for living took her on many adventures, allowing her to live a very full life. She shared her experiences and vibrance across the many generations in her family. Preceding her in death were her parents, Tab and Bam Edmiston; her siblings, Lester and Leslie Edmiston, Becky McDaniel, Marjorie Otwell, and Lemoine Edmiston.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Bobby Rinehart and her siblings Nancy Walker, Rita Cockerham, and Jim Edmiston as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Seth Spillers, Chris Rinehart, Billy McElduff, Donnie Berry, Jr., David Smith and Jeffery Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Freeman and Parker Atkins. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at Vernon Baptist Church
