Donna Marie Bloise (1951 - 2014)

ALLEGANY - Donna Marie Bloise, 61, of 37 N. Third St., passed away Thursday (Feb. 27, 2014) at Olean General Hospital after a long battle with diabetes.

Born March 27, 1951, in Olean, she was a daughter of Dominic and Margaret "Peg" Norton Bloise.

Donna was a 1970 graduate of Allegany Central School, where she was a member of the color guard with the marching band. She worked at St. Bonaventure University and worked in the BOCES school system as an aide. She loved working with the children, but was forced to quit due to her illness.

She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her young nieces and nephews.

She also loved keeping in touch with her friends, playing games on her computer and playing cards and bingo. She loved her cat, Muffin.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a sister, Belinda (Lynn) Sherwood of Allegany; her very special people, Bob and Holly Fischer, and Frank and Cindy DeFiore; aunts; uncles; several nieces and nephews; cousins; and many great friends.

She was predeceased by her father and a sister, Patricia Champlin.

Burial will be Tuesday in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
