Alice Rose Medendorp, 88, of Gilman, IL, died at 11:45 P.M., Monday, October 30, 2006 at the Gilman Nursing Center in Gilman, IL. Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 3, 2006 at the United Methodist Church in Gilman, IL with Rev. Gary Fairchild officiating. Burial will be in the Danforth Cemetery in Danforth, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday, November 3, 2006 at United Methodist Church Gilman, IL. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church in Gilman or the Gilman Nursing Center. Alice was born on June 20 ,1918 in Crofton, NE to John & Kate (DeVries) Medendorp. She attended schools in Nebraska. Alice's family moved to Gilman area in 1950. Survivors are - three sisters - Edith Collins of Bradley, Nellie Jacob of Bennington, Nebraska and Florence Crowner of Kankakee. One brother - Donald C. Medendorp of Gilman. Nieces and Nephews and cousins. Pre-decedents - Parents, one sister - Frieda Pree, one brother - Albert Medendorp and one niece - Sandra Baker. Alice was a member of the United Methodist Church of Gilman. Also a member of the Mary Martha Circle. She was a homemaker. Alice worked for the Condenser Factory in Watseka and the Gilman Nursing Center as an aide. Arrangements by the Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
