Arthur H. Blanchard

Funeral services for Mr. Blanchard will be held in the home, 14852 Rutherford Ave., at 2 p.m. Thursday. Born on July 7, 1857, in Ingham County, Mr. Blanchard was in the lumbering business until eight years ago, when he moved to Detroit.

On July 14, 1930, Mr. Blanchard and his wife Ina May celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. He had been in good health until Tuesday, when he was suddenly taken ill. His 10 grandchildren will act as pallbearers at the services, which will be conducted by the Rev. Martin Storgaard of the Northwestern Baptist Church.

Mr. Blanchard, who was a member of Onaway Lodge, F. & A.M., Bay City Consistory, and Knights Templar, and Elf Khurafeh Temple of the Shrine at Saginaw, is survived by his wife, one son Russell, four daughters, Mrs. Louise Kennerly, Mrs. Loena Stuart, Mrs. Grace McEvoy, and Mrs. Betty MacGillivery; 10 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
