Lawrence "Wimpy" H. Weidner, age 86 of New Braunfels, passed away October 24, 2012. Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Wallie Weidner in 2006.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Keller of New Braunfels; brother, Walter & B.J. Weidner of LaVernia; sister, Irene Bretzke of Seguin; grandsons & great-grandchildren, Scott & Jennifer Keller & their children, Samantha and Hailee and Kevin & Angela Keller & their children, Theresa and Trinity, all of New Braunfels; and numerous other nieces, nephews, additional relatives and dear friends.

Lawrence was a skilled fry cook who followed in the footsteps of his father as a burger master at the Schumannsville Dancehall. He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. Lawrence was also a member of the New Braunfels Shooting Club, The Sportsman Club and enjoyed making BBQ Brisket.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels with Reverend Chuck Huckaby officiating.
