Joseph Abegg, aged 61 years, died in St. Elizabeth's Hospital on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. He was born in Belleville, September 20, 1849.

He leaves two sisters and two brothers:
Mrs. Robert Zogg, in Belleville
Mrs. Anton Heger, in East St. Louis
Edward Abegg, in Belleville.
Frank Abegg, in Belleville.

The funeral takes place at 8:30 o'clock Monday morning from the home of his sister, Mrs. Robert Zogg, Lebanon and Collinsville road, to St. Peter's Cathedral, thence to Green Mount Cemetery. [*Even though his burial is listed as Green Mount Cemetery in his obit, the day-to-day burial log shows that he is buried in Walnut Hill with the the location of his grave listed as "unknown."]
