He was a son of the late William Granville and Martha Jane Baird.
Mr. Baird was self-employed in the office supply business for many years, and most recently worked with McBride Office Supply. He was a member of Overbrook Baptist Church, and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Lynn Baird of Greenville; a daughter, Donna Bridges of Columbia; and a brother, Virgil Baird of Logan, W.Va. He was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Overbrook Baptist Church, with burial following at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association , 310-B Bennett Center Drive, Greer, SC 29650.
