Bobbie Lyon was born in Minneapolis but became a true New Yorker early in life. She was vivacious and sophisticated and remained single during her life. She lived with her parents at the Shelton Towers at 49th and Lexington for many years in a small apartment with a capacious terrace. She worked for much of her career as an administrator at Katherine Gibbs College, and like her mother, "Hat", was a great Yankee fan with a moderate devotion to Scotch.
