E. Clark Townsend of orchard, a carpenter, died March 7 at Home. He was 73.
Services were March 10 at Olinger's Wadsworth Chapel. Interment was in Fort Logan National Cemetery.
He was born May 1, 1921 in Lumberton, N.C. On Dec.31 1965, He Married Jeannine "Rusty" Jones,in Denver.
Mr. Townsend served in the Army Air Corp and received a Purple Heart. He received a bachelor of science degree in aeronautics. He was a carpenter and owned the Rocket Lounge and Restaurant. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local No. 55 and the American Legion Post No. 193.
He is survived by his wife; two sons James,Steamboat Springs and Victor,Lakewood;three daughters Rebecca,Yuma,Lana,Scottsbluff Neb. and Cindy,Arvada; a brother,John, Lumberton, N.C.; and nine grandchildren.
