He married Lois Faye Thorne on August 10, 1956 in the Logan LDS Temple. They had two sons. Faye passed away on February 20, 1987. He later married Ilah Rae Rothenberger on February 11, 1989 in Brigham City, UT They had three children, a son and two daughters.
David loved woodworking and working with his hands. He enjoyed his job in carpentry which led him to start his own business.
He later worked at Defense Depot in Ogden. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling with his boys and spending time at the cabin he built in Island Park.
He is survived by his wife Ilah, and five children:
