Mrs. Adele Petty Taylor age 92 of Rio Linda, CA, formerly of Chattanooga, TN, passed away Wednesday March 5, 2014 in Sacramento, CA.
She was a member of the Rio Linda First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, James C. and Sarah Jane Peeples Petty; husband, Alvin A. Taylor; brother and sister-in-law, James and Dolorse Petty; sister, Ruby Ellen Davis; son-in-law, Wilson B. Garrett; step-mother, Dora Petty.
Survivors include, daughter, Laura Jane Taylor Garrett, Rio Linda, CA; half-brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Janet Petty and Larry and Jan Petty all of Aurora, IN; step-grandchild, Rebecca Thompson, Sacramento, CA; step-great grandchild, Henry Ossentjuk, Sacramento, CA; two special nieces, Kathy Harris, Dalton and Peggy Davis, Chatsworth; nieces; nephews; cousins.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Taylor will be held Monday March 10, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Greer officiating. Interment will follow Tuesday from the Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, TN.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
