Ronald G. Hill, DVM, 63, died March 4, 2014, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born July 8, 1950, in Hutchinson, to Franklin H. and Viola L. Baldwin Hill. In May of 1976, Ronald graduated from Kansas State University School of Veterinary Medicine. He owned Westside Veterinary Clinic in Hutchinson and was previously also the veterinarian at Central Livestock in South Hutchinson for 20 years.

He married Mary Hattrup on March 4, 1978 in Kinsley, Kan. She survives.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary, and daughter, Erica Hill and her fiancé Eric Haskins, all of Hutchinson; granddaughter, Addison Hill; sisters, Lois Durst and husband Leroy of Hutchinson, Jeri Harder and husband Ken of Claflin, Kan.; his mother-in-law, Catherine Hattrup of Kinsley, Kan.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and father in law, Eugene Hattrup. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Reverend Richard Brooks presiding. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday with the family present from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, Hutchinson Animal Shelter, or the Addison Hill Education Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS, 67501.
