Irena Black Dies At Home
Michigantown Woman Had Been Ill Some Time With Complications
Michigantown, Ind., Feb. 8 -- Funeral services for Mrs. Irena Pearl Black, wife of Bert Balck, who died Sunday evening at 7:46 o'clock, at her home in Michigantown, will be held at 10:30 o'clock this morning from the residence. Orval Maish, of Indianpolis, will officiate. Burial will be in the Whiteman cemetery.
She was the daughter of William and Clara Piner and was born near Michigantown, Nov. 8, 1876. She was married October 4, 1894, and is survived by her husband, her mother and three children, Arthur, of Michigantown, Mrs. Ray Sheldon of Knightstown, and Mrs. Mary Ramsey of Indianapolis. A child Katie preceded her in death. She is also survived by two brothers Carl and Virgil of Frankfort, a sister, Mrs. Lea Lawrence of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Goodwin funeral home from 3 o'clock this afternoon until 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon.
Funeral services will be conducted at Hopewell church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Schenck officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell cemetery.
