She was born July 10, 1959 in Marshall, Texas a daughter of the late Billy Carl Alexander and Ruby Lee Hearnsberger Poyer.
Barbara had previously worked for JR Donuts for 12 years. She enjoyed her cats, listening to music, working crossword puzzles and watching Bonanza and Gun Smoke.
She is survived by two sons, Michael "Mike" Surface (Samantha) and Patrick Joseph "Joey" McMillion all of Parkersburg; two sisters, Christina Huerta of Austin, Texas and Linda Sue Alexander of Katie, Texas; a brother, Billy Joe Alexander of Marshall, Texas; friend, Brian Mitchell of Pettyville, W.Va.; and James Allender of Parkersburg, W.Va.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, WV with Kevin Lantz officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to time of service Friday at the funeral home.
