Mrs. Ollie Mable Aiden, 94, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later through Roundtree, Napier and Ogilvies Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home.

MT. PLEASANT — Mrs. Mable Kittrell Aiden, 94, of Mt. Pleasant, departed from this earth, Saturday, Oct. 2. 2004.

Services will be conducted at 2 pm Friday at Jones Chapel A.M.E. Church. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 pm Thursday at Roundtree, Napier & Ogilvies Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

She was born in Hickman County on Dec. 10, 1910, to the late Zachariah (Jack) and Mae Anna Wilkins. She spent her life in the service of others cleaning and cooking. She had received Christ and knew God was her Savior. She was a mother and steward of Jones Chapel A.M.E. Church and Otis Chapel A.M.E. Church until her health failed.

Her four brothers, Walter Louis Wilkins, Willie Rye Wilkins, L.T. Wilkins, Caldwell Wilkins; and three sisters, Tom Ella Wilkins, Gracie Bellaphant, 14.1 Issa Wilkins, preceded her in death. Her two husband, George Kitrell and Maynard Atlen also preceded her in death.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories one sister, Anne Mae Goodrum; guardian daughter Antionette Napier Gaines (Scott); guardian grandchildren Robert Deran Dawson (Crystal McClain) and Zachary Gaines; step-children Alene Lane (Nathaniel) Donald Aiden, Clara Brown, Richard Callie Aiden, Birdie (Bobby) of Evanston, IL, Frances Homer of Detroit, MI; nieces Hester Woodard, Julie Williams, Wilnita Bellaphant, Ollie Elizabeth Goodrum, Artie Mae Goodrum, Christine Shelton, Barbara Holmes, Calamity Smith, Beatrice Philips, Beat-rice Washington, Elora Hill, Ida Johnson, Mae Frances and Emma Lou Lowe; nephews James Bellaphant, Walter Bellaphant, Billie Goodrum, J.C. Goodrum, Walter Wilkins, Jr., Leon Wilkins, Raymond Lowe, Joe Lowe and Robert Smith; a host of great and great-great-nieces and nephews, and friends.
