Charles Elmer Oldson was born October 23, 1921 to Elmer R. and Alice Anderson Oldson in Eagle Grove, Iowa.

Following graduation from Eagle Grove High School, he graduated from Iowa State College with a B. S. in engineering. In March of 1943 he married Marjorie A. Johnson. Following the wedding, he left for the service in the United States Army, serving in the China-Burma-India Theater. He received several honors in the military including the Bronze Medal.

They settled in Eagle Grove where he went into the mechanical contracting business with his father.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ in Eagle Grove.

Charles Elmer Oldson died Saturday, April 8, 1995 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion, Iowa.

Survivors include two daughters, Martha Willits and Joanne Page, both of Des Moines; son, Robert Oldson and his wife Kris of Eagle Grove; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held at the United Church of Christ in Eagle Grove on Thursday, April 13 at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Ed James officiating.
