Jessie Irene Johnson married Willard Freeman Collins 4 August 1937 in Jackson, Madison Co, Tennessee. They had two children:
1 Willard Lamar Collins
2 Bernard Greer Collins

Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Johnson Collins, 102, will be Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 2:30 PM in the Chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Collins died Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
For the past eleven years she had made her home with a son, Greer Collins, in Memphis. She was born in Madison County, daughter of the late Bernard and Jessie Dodd Johnson, and received her education in the local schools. Most of her adult life had been spent in the Oakfield Community. Mrs. Collins was a retired teacher in the former Madison County School System. She was a member of the Oakfield United Methodist Church.
Her late husband, Williard Freeman Collins, preceded her in death in 1947.
She leaves her sons, Greer Collins of Memphis and Williard Collins of Brownsville; a brother, Arthur Johnson, Sr. of Malesus and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the service will be Arthur Johnson, Jr., Joe Hudson, Billy Bible, Billy Melson, Billy Brown and Joe Allen Hudson.
Friends may visit with the family today from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
