Mary M. (Hanes, Stoner) Cross, age 90, of Norvell Township, passed away at her home under the loving care of her family February 5, 2014. She is survived by five children, Charlene Metro, William (Bonnie) Stoner, Millie (Walt) Bartlett, David (Debbie) Stoner and Bonnie Stoner; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Laura Byers and Alice (James) Rose; one step-daughter and two step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard A. Cross in 2013; daughter, Kathy Johnson; son-in-law Chuck Metro; and brother-in-law, Howard Byers. Mary was a graduate of Jackson High School, worked in sales at Woolworth and enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles. Services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11 am with Rev. Richard Brooks officiating. Interment Napoleon Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday 4-8 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Cascades Humane Society.
