William and his wife Mary (Mowry) Kerr settled on the ridge of what is known by the locals as Glade Pike, in Manns Choice, Pennsylvania. They are laid to rest in a little cemetery in the field. There are deed records that make mention of this cemetery over time.
There once were many field headstone that sat in rows in this cemetery. William and several other headstones have been broken off. Probably by the cattle that was roamed the field in this family farm. The headstones that withheld the edge of time, just like William Kerr were placed in different areas of the little cemetery. Time has eroded this cemetery. Trees now grow wild in the cemetery. Currently the land owners do not want any work done on this family cemetery.

William Kerr is the son of William Kerr and Sarah unknown. The Kerr family came to the Manns Choice area. On William Kerr, son Samuel Kerr death certificate, it says that his father William was originally from Ireland. But only this document states this information.
William Kerr married Mary Mowry. Daughter John Andrew Mowry.
The Kerr name has also been found documented as written Carr, and Karr.
William and Mary had the following children:
John Kerr, William Jackson Kerr, Joseph Henry Kerr, Samuel Kerr, George Kerr, Elizabeth Kerr, Amanda Kerr, Margaret Kerr, and Catharine Kerr.
