Carol Jean (Allford) Travis Williams, 73, of Bugtussle, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at her home. Born Nov. 27, 1940, in McAlester, she was the daughter of Joe and Rebecca (Eldridge) Allford. She attended Indianola Schools. She worked as a farmer for 22 years and then worked for Rockwell and Boeing as a sheet metal mechanic, retiring in 2000. She married Bob Williams on May 14, 1983, in McAlester She enjoyed her dogs and cats and fishing. She fished tournaments with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Bob Williams, of the home; son, Danny Travis, of Indianola; daughters, Becky House and husband, Al, of Antlers, Karen Travis-Means, Wichita, Kan., and Carman Williams and partner, Mitzi Whitney, of Bugtussle. Also, grandchildren, Leah McNac, of Muskogee, Jason Travis, Galveston, Texas, Brandon Travis, of Owasso, B.J. McDougal, of Norman, Madison Means-Duncan, of Edmond, Travis Means, Wichita, Kan., Katherine Means, Wichita, Kan., Chris Means, Wichita, Kan., and their respective families. And, brother, David Allford and wife, Tera, of Wetumka; uncle, Jim Allford and wife, June, of Holdenville; niece, Brenda Lusk-Lewis, of McAlester; nephews, Homer Lusk, of McAlester, and Drew Lusk, of Moore, and numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Rebecca Allford, and sister, Myrna Lusk. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Don Parr officiating. Burial will be at Tannehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Travis Means, Chris Means, B.J. McDougal, Jason Travis and Brandon Travis. Honorary pallbearers will be Spirit Local Union 1558 members. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
