Regarding the death certificate - there is some confusion as to this man's name. While it is certain he went by 'Peter' it appears 'Hopkins' - the surname used on his mothers death cert. of which Peter is the informant & stems from her husband Thomas Hopkins Daley, or another illegible name on Peter's death certificate may have been his preference as a surname, either raises the question of alienation or separation. Still others argue 'Hopkins' was his given name while the 'Hopkins' on the death cert. does appear to regard the surname & not the given name.
