Opal Hargraves, 92, of Lillie, LA, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at TriCare Hospital in Bernice, LA. Born June 3, 1914, in Hampton to the late Fred Kitchell and Stella Ellen Winder Kitchell, she was a homemaker and a Methodist. She married Warner Dozar Hargraves in 1928, and he died May 12, 1987.

Survivors are two sons Warnuel Hargraves and wife Joyce of West Memphis and Wayne Hargraves and wife Dorothy of Junction City, LA; a daughter Wanda Helen Lawrence and husband Myrl of Hamburg; one brother, Claude Kitchell of San Leandro, CA; six grandchildren Larry Ford of Hamburg, Ronnie Ford and wife Cynthia of Crossett, Aris Hargraves and wife Vicki of Lillie, Wayne Hargraves, Jr., and wife Karen of Hope, Wanda Brown and husband Don of Junction City, AR, and Patty Cardin and husband David of El Dorado; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Duane Alton Hargraves; three brothers, Ones Fred Kitchell, Oscar Kitchell and Everette Kitchell; and seven sisters, Maude Hargis, Punie Morgan, Meade Jackson, Fern Pinida, Pansy Bass, Ethel Burnett and Corinne Land.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Eden Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Ronnie Ford, Don Brown and Aris, Justin, Jake and Wayne, Jr., Hargraves. Burial followed services at the Crossroads Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren.
