Mrs. Della W. McKowen, 78, died this morning at a St. Joseph hospital. Her home was at 1525 Buchanan avenue. She was the widow of Charles McKowen.
Born in Bentonville, Ark., she had been a resident of St. Joseph for approximately 45 years. She was a member of the Christian Church and the Over 60 Club.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Cleva Yarger, Mrs. Helen Poe and Mrs. Marjorie Chancey, all of St. Joseph, and Mrs. Hazel Miley of Silver Springs, Md.; two sons, James F. Walters, St. Joseph, and Donald H. Walters, Gower, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Molly Ruddick, Garfield, Ark., and Mrs. Lilly Evans, Bartlesville, Okla.; 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
