Rosel Hyde "Bud" Andrews, Jr died February 14, 2014 surrounded by Valentines from his family at the age of 87 plus. He was born to Alta Campbell and Rosel, Sr. on March 18, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the 2nd of eight children. The family moved to Venice, Calif. in 1941. Bud was employed part time at Douglas Aircraft during his senior year of high school for shop credits toward graduation. He entered the Army Air Force as an aircraft mechanic and, during training, saw the first Atom Bomb test at White Sands, New Mexico. He served in the Army of Occupation in Germany where he repaired P51 fighter planes. He became an Experimental Model Maker at Aerojet after moving north and lived in Loomis for 53 years. He built cabinets for most of his adult life as well as two homes for his family. He leaves one sister, Joan Andrews Burnes of Palmdale, Calif., his wife Patricia Stephens Andrews, and seven children: Darla Sittman (Bill), Oroville, Calif; Suzie Hennefer (Thom), Olathe, Kansas; Rhonda Gresko, Penryn, Calif; Denise Dean (Dave), Shingle Springs, Calif; Mark Andrews (Lecia), Riverton, Utah; Brian Andrews (Carol), Vacaville, Calif; and Kerry Andrews (Julie), Penryn, Calif. He also leaves 30 grandchildren and 29 great- grandchildren. A memorial was held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Loomis Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Internment was in the Newcastle District Cemetery.
