Funeral services for John Edward Bone, 85, of Cullman will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel; Rev. Dale Wayne Cook officiating; with interment in Cullman City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bone passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 at his residence and was preceded in death by his parents M.H. & Mary Stevens Bone; a son, Johnny Bone; and a brother, Donald Bone.

He worked for over 50 years in the cattle business and was a longtime member of the Alabama Cattlemans Association. Mr. Bone finished his working career at Tyson Foods.

He was also a deacon at the 7th Street Baptist Church in Cullman and the Siloam Baptist Church in Marion.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Estelle Hamilton Bone; son, David M. (Sherry) Bone; grandsons: Derry, Tyler, and Yancey Bone; granddaughters: Elizabeth Reid, Ashley Bone, Katie Bone, and Haylee Grace Bone; nine great grandchildren; and a special friend, Mary Hines.
