Charles Pittman Dey, LDS ID K8LY-W3N, was the son of Emily, b. NJ ca 1813-1815 (death certificate lists Sarah Clinton, b. NJ) and John W. Dey, LZ2D-Y1R, (1815-1881).

He married first in Carteret Co., NC, December 7, 1868, Almira Dudley, daughter of Susan D. Salisbury and Samuel Dudley.

He married second at age 65, widowed, in Petersburg, Virginia, April 22, 1922, Sarah Davenport Jones, age 45, single, daughter of Eugenia L. and Edmund Jones.

Died at age 88; buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Bern, NC, July 8, 1932. His estate was probated in Carteret Co., NC, in 1935 with Sarah Jones Dey as Executrix.

His occupation was Manufacturing at a Fish Mill. At the time of his death, he owned the boats "C.P. Dey", "Alert", "Elizabeth", "Frances", "Olympia", four large purse boats, and two small boats.

Sarah Jones Dey died before the estate was settled and Edmund Jones of Goldsboro and Eugene P. Jones of Oxford filed as the only remaining heirs in July 1935. Estate was finally settled in 1941.
