Sage Gibson, 13, of Big Spring, Texas, died on Wednesday, August 24, 2005, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 27, 2005 at the First Baptist Church, Big Spring with Rev. Dennis Teeters, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM Friday at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.

He was born on August 9, 1992, in San Angelo, Texas.
Sage was a vibrant young man who loved the Lord and his family. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball, and attending church. He loved school, his teachers, and classmates and would have been a seventh grader at Big Spring Junior High School. After a diagnosis of cancer in September 2004, he fought a courageous battle. He was graceful and inspirational to many during this journey.

Survivors include his parents, Tommy and Robbie Gibson of Big Spring; his sister, Madison Gibson and brother, Austin Gibson both of Big Spring; his grandparents, Don and JoAnn Ritchey of Big Spring, James and Carolyn Gibson of Polson, Montana, and Phil and Susan Guinn of Meridian; his great grandmothers, Geneva Howard of Lamesa and Edith Guinn of Stephenville; his uncles, aunts and cousins, Mike and Robin Ritchey and children, Raegan and Matt all of Big Spring, Phillip and Carmen Ritchey and children, Ian, Bradan and Cerbi Ritchey all of Boyd, Bruce and Tana Setliff and children, Trent and Mikala Setliff all of Fritch; cousins, Tim, Cheryl, Ryan, Tyler, and Tobyn Tannehill all of Big Spring and uncle, James E. Gibson of Commerce.
The family suggests memorials be made to Relay for Life, %Diane Woods, P.O. Box 254, Coahoma, Texas 79511.
