Funeral services for Marvin F. Durst, 69, of 1501 Water St., were held Monday afternoon in Grimes-Plummer Funeral Chapels with Rev. W. N. Perkins officiating. Interment was in Garden of Memories. He passed away Saturday in Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
Born March 14, 1910 in Gillespie County, he was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. He came to Kerrville in 1938 and founded Durst Upholstery in 1942. He was the only surviving charter member of the Kerrville Lions Club and was also a member of the Odd Fellows,
He is survived by his wife; one son, James Durst; one daughter, Erna Lee Dechert, all of Kerrville; one brother, Clarence Durst of Fredericksburg; two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Wendel of Doss and Minnie Geise of Sn Antonio; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
