CROSBY DOROTHY LOUISE (WESTERLUND)
On Monday, January 19, 2009, age 88, of Cabot. In the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia Lutheran Ministries. She was born May 9, 1920, in Braddock to the late Oscar & Ellen Westerlund. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards and Bingo with friends. Dorothy was a Methodist and attended church service at Concordia. She is survived by her daughters Barbara Phillips (Donald) of Monroeville and Shirley Spence (Rodney) of Ford City and a son Robert Crosby (Gay) of Centreville, VA; her grandchildren Kristine (John), Paul Todd (Rasha), Keith, Jason, Erin and James ; also five great- grandchildren; sister of Betty Gruber; and several nieces and nephews; wife of the late Robert Crosby whom she married June 20, 1942 and who died April 3, 2003; sister of the late Vivian Pavlot, Helen Elliott and Charles William Westerlund. Friends received 2-4 & 7-9 Friday at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME, 7441 Washington St., Swissvale. A service will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 10 AM. Interment in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Concordia Lutheran Ministries, 619 N. Pike Rd, Cabot, PA. 16023.
