Joyce Ann (Gurley) Bradford a precious child of God passed from this earthly life in Forney, Texas on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the age of 73 years 7 months and 24 days. She was born in Roberta, Oklahoma to Alfred Vestor and Gladys Chappell on Wednesday, July 3, 1940.
Joyce was a very proud and devoted mother to her precious sons. She was valedictorian of her senior graduating class at Blue High School in Blue, Oklahoma in 1957. Joyce was the church secretary at the Edgemont Park Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas for many years.
Mrs. Bradford was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred "Bill" Gurley and Gladys Chappell.
Family Hour will be from 6-7:00 PM Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 3, 2014, Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel at 121 N 5th, Durant, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery Calera, Oklahoma.
