Died, Aged Ninety-Two.

Joseph Morton, an aged citizen of the fifteenth civil district died at his home about a mile northwest of Shooks' Gap last week. He was ninety two years old. He was a blacksmith and worked at his trade up to with a short time ago.

He came from Blount county several years ago. Mr. Shook [Morton], at the date of his death left twenty-six living children, all of whom reside in Knox and Blount county.

*Article stated name as Mr. Shook when it should have been Morton.

Joseph Morton, father of Esq. Silas Morton died last Friday, at his home on Nails creek, at the advanced age of 92. He has lived in this county all his life and is well known. The remains were brought to town and buried in Magnolia Cemetery.
