Memorial services were held Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. in Melancon Funeral Home in Opelousas for Judy Lee Aucoin McBride, age 67, who passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas.

Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington. The Rev. Albert Nunez, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Washington, officiated at the services.

Ms. McBride was a native and lifelong resident of Washington. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Washington. She had a special place in her heart for children and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors included one son, William John McBride of Washington; Rebecca Susan McBride Davis and her husband, Scott, of Deluth, MN; five grandchildren, Jeremy Martin, Elizabeth Martin, Elijah McBride, Isabella McBride and Charis McBride; one sister-in-law, Virginia McBride of Church Point; her godchild and nephew, William Charles Aucoin and his wife, Karla, of Washington; one niece, Angelle McBride Meaux and her husband, Adam; and one great niece, Madison Meaux.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Aucoin and the former Maude Domingue; one infant brother, William Jean McBride; and one sister, Patricia Maude Aucoin Clements.

A rosary was prayed at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until service time on Wednesday.
