Thomas B. Byrd was born January 1, 1951, probably in Splunge, Monroe County, Mississippi. They lived for a while in what was thought to be Detroit, Marion County, Alabama, but after Mississippi was resurveyed they found out it was indeed Mississippi rather than Alabama.

Thomas was probably buried in the old George Stanford Cemetery which was in front of the old Byrd house in Splunge, Monroe County, Mississippi, where other Byrd family members are buried. A farmer plowed dirt over on the cemetery which covered up some of the tombstones and it is difficult to know who all was buried there. This was several years ago.(GMT)
