Pauline Spencer, age 78, a resident of Russellville, AR, died Thursday, January 25, 2001 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center at Russellville.
She was born on June 5, 1922 at Atkins to the late Earl and Nora Austin Barefield.
She worked as a parts department manager for Kansas City Motor Company in Kansas City, Missouri and later for Cort-Fox Ford and Holywood Ford in California. After returning to Russellville in 1962, she worked for Gosnell Motors, Homestead Tractor and Harrell Motors.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas A. Hayes, Jr. a brother, Marion Barefield and a sister, Eula Taylor.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Spencer of Russellville; a daughter and son in law, JoAnn and Billy Gray of Dardanelle; two grandsons, William Gray of Dardanelle, T.J. Hayes of Clarksville; a great granddaughter, Chelsea Hayes of Russellville; two brothers, Floyd Barefield of Russellville, Robert Barefield of Russellville; two sisters, Mary Jennings of Clarksville, Nina Barefield of Russellville.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2001 at the Graveside Servcie officiated by Mr. Rick Smith. Burial will be at the Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
