Betty passed away February 27, 2014, at her home in Wills Point.
Betty Anne Addington Moring was born October 27, 1924, to the late Butler Addington and Virginia Carter Addington. She met the love of her life in grade school and they eventually married March 13, 1943. Betty was a very proud supportive military wife and lived in various places due to her husband's military career. She worked in classified documents office during World War II and then worked as a civil employee for the United States Army when they relocated to Lawton, OK, in the late 1940s. She also worked as an administrative secretary in the medical field until she retired in 1984. Betty was always very active in the Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher, sang in the choir and lead bible study and prayer groups.
She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as, her husband, Colonel Thomas L. Moring in 2006; and her sisters, Virginia Bechtel, and June Strawn.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Stewart of Wills Point; grandchildren, Tammy Dixon and husband, Adam of Kings Lynn, Norfolk, England, and Jenny Moorhead and husband, Terry of Tyler; great-grandchildren, Alex, Ivory, Bryant, Zoey, Madison, Kayleigh, Thomas, and Jared; brother-in-law, Bill Strawn of Ovilla; and many other relatives and friends.
