Steveta Heiss "Etta" Bowman, 57, of Soddy-Daisy, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. She was a loving wife and mother. "I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever, with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations". Psalm 89:1. She was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Dora Heiss.
Survivors include her husband , Milford Bowman, Jr., of Soddy-Daisy; daughter, Emily Bowman of Hixson; brothers, Kenneth (Joy) Heiss, and Paul (Martina) Heiss; sisters, Janice (Marvin) Francisco, Denise Heiss, and Sandra (John) Flerl, all of Soddy-Daisy; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Dana Gravitt and Rev. Aaron Britt officiating. Interment will follow in Bowman Cemetery. Visitation is 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday, February 28, at the funeral home.
